Fundraising Progress Dry-board . There will be a new state-of-the-art diving board at the Millard West facility which has been donated to that facility from one of the parents of Millard Elite Diving/Elite Diving Academy. The old diving board will be recycled into a dry-land training board known as a “dry-board” (see photo). The dry-board will keep kept year-around at Premier Gymnastics.
The dry-board needs a few items to be fully functional. These items include a stand for the diving board, rope for the harness, pulleys, and the cost of labor for the installation of the pulleys on the over-head harness. Our goal is to raise $6,500.00! Contributions of any size are beneficial to the divers and may be considered a charitable tax-deduction for you!* Please make all checks payable to Dive Nebraska, Inc. Please forward all donations to Dive Nebraska Inc., 742 N. 78 th Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68114. You will be mailed a receipt in recognition of your contribution for tax purposes. Dive Nebraska, Inc. will then lease the equipment on a long-term basis to Millard Elite Diving/Elite Diving Academy for the exclusive use of their divers! Fundraisers will be scheduled as a contingency plan if our financial goal is not met. ![]() Updating diving board stands at UNO . Our directors have been in talks with the decision makers at UNO. We have received the go-ahead to replace the diving board stands and have been in discussion about fundraisers to start raising money. Updating the diving tower at Hitchcock Pool . Our directors have been in talks with the decision makers for the City of Omaha. We have received the go-ahead to update the diving tower at this facility. We have been in discussion about hosting an All-City Meet open to all divers for the proceeds to fund this project. We have also applied for a grant from the United States Diving Association to fund this project. We received positive feedback from USDA but currently that had no grant money to fund such a project. We will continue to pursue this avenue annually.
